  • Gail Kelley

    Gail was our first employee. She joined us shortly after completing the Business Administration program at the New Brunswick Community College.

    At that time she handled everything in the office from sending faxes to helping people cut through the complexities of their personal financial difficulties.

    Gail is a “people person” and spends her day assisting people in person and by telephone. Gail is one of the people you will first encounter when you contact our office. You may also see her at a financial counseling session during your bankruptcy or proposal process. She is a qualified Insolvency Administrator having completed the CAIRP certification program.

    Gail is very cheerful and is often caught singing in the office.

  • Karen St. Onge

    Karen joined Grant Thornton Poirier Limited (then A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc.) in 2000. While she has worked in most areas of our practice, she is now our estate bookkeeper. In that capacity, she manages most of the accounting functions related to our trust accounts.

    Karen has a great sense of humor and can find the lighter side of almost any situation.

  • Shelley Smith

    Shelley came to us in 2008 with over 17 years experience working in both corporate and personal insolvency. She is a qualified Insolvency Administrator having completed the CAIRP certification program. She is also a qualified Insolvency Counsellor registered with Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.

    Because of her extensive experience, she fills a multitude of roles on an “as needed” basis in the office. Shelley currently also looks after our Division 1 (ordinary) personal and corporate proposals.

    We all love to visit Shelley’s office as she always has a cupboard full of candy!

     

  • Heather Campbell

    Heather joined Grant Thornton Poirier Limited (then A.C. Poirier and Associates Inc.) in October 2009.  She came to us with over 15 years experience in personal bankruptcy administration and currently manages the administration of our summary administration (personal) bankruptcy files.

    Heather is registered as an Insolvency Counsellor with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and is a qualified Insolvency Administrator having completed the CAIRP qualification program.

    Heather is kind and even tempered. She willingly passes on her knowledge to her staff in the office and efficiently manages many competing demands every day.

  • Julie Molasky

    Julie has  over 10 years of experience in most aspects of personal insolvency and currently manages the administration of our consumer proposal files.

    Julie is registered as an Insolvency Counsellor with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and is a qualified Insolvency Administrator having completed the CAIRP qualification program.  She is a Commissioner of Oaths in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

    Julie is outgoing, loves to laugh and likes to be busy.

  • Sara St. Onge

    Sara joined us full time in 2005 after working part-time throughout her high school years. She is currently completing the Business Administration-Accounting program at the New Brunswick Community College. After completing her program at NBCC, Sara plans to finish her undergraduate degree at the University of New Brunswick and hopes to pursue a professional accounting designation.

    Sara is very organized and efficient and enjoys being busy.

  • Denise Côté

    Denise graduated from the New Brunswick Community College Bilingual Office Management program prior to joining Grant Thornton Poirier Limited in July 2009.

    Denise administers our consumer bankruptcy files and is fluently bilingual. She is currently enrolled in the CAIRP Insolvency Administrators course. 

    Denise is outgoing, likes to be busy and always ready to help others.

  • Sandra Michaud

    Sandra joined Grant Thornton Poirier Limited (then A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc.) in 2002 which enabled her to return from Toronto to her beloved Saint John. Prior to joining us Sandra worked for 7 years in the head office of a major CA firm.

    Since joining us, Sandra has worked as a bankruptcy administrator in our consumer bankruptcy practice and for several years she was our receptionist and switch board operator. She now prepares court documents and assists in file closures.

    Sandra has a good sense of humour and a willing attitude. When she’s not at work Sandra loves spending time with her family and riding her motorcycle.

  • Shannon Boucher

    Shannon joined Grant Thornton Poirier Ltd. after graduating from the Business Administration – Accounting Program at NBCC in 2010. Prior to returning to school, Shannon worked for more than 10 years in Retail Management.

    When you call or visit our office Shannon will be one of people with whom you’d speak to concerning your situation. She will determine what options are available to you and put at ease any questions that you may have.

    Shannon is registered as an Insolvency Counsellor with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and is currently registered in the Insolvency Administrators Program with CAIRP.

  • Judy Drew

    Judy has come to us with over 30 years’ experience, working with the media as an Office Clerk, doing various duties in the Accounts Receivable and Billing departments.

    She had also volunteered for the Empty Stocking Fund since 1976, doing various duties, including co-ordinating over 40 volunteers for the annual broadcast.

    Judy welcomes all duties with a positive attitude and has enjoyed learning the bankruptcy world.

  • Sonia Hart

    Sonia joined us in 2006 after graduating from the Business Administration program at the New Brunswick Community College in Saint John. She is currently enrolled in the CAIRP Insolvency Administrators course. Sonia has been involved in virtually all aspects of our consumer bankruptcy practice and is currently responsible for the bankruptcy discharges and court proceedings.

    Sonia has a very sunny personality and wants everyone who deals with her to feel appreciated and respected.

  • Kathy MacPherson

    Kathy joined Grant Thornton Poirier Limited (then A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc.) in November of 2011. Kathy came to us with close to 20 years’ experience in the service industry, working mostly in client service. Currently, Kathy administers our consumer bankruptcy files and is one of your first contacts with us when you have questions about your bankruptcy.

    Kathy is easy going and truly enjoys helping clients get a fresh start.

  • Dana Abou El Niaj

    Dana came to us with her 7 years of experience from Financial Institutions. She graduated with a Business Administration degree at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John. Dana is currently working in our Input team preparing all the files for sign ups.

    Dana is fast paced, fun spirited and always ready to get the job done!

  • Tina Collins

    Tina joined Grant Thornton Poirier Limited (then A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc.) in September 2011. Prior to joining our office, Tina received her B.A. in Classics and Ancient History from the University of New Brunswick where she graduated with second degree honours. Tina has a high level of energy and a spirit that is shown throughout her professional career.

    Tina is fluently bilingual, she can assist in both English and French.

  • Sophie Caron

    Sophie joined  us after graduating from NBCC in Environmental Technology and brings with her four years of experience in customer service and management

    She spends most of her day assisting people by telephone and face to face who are seeking help with their financial difficulties.

    Sophie is fluently bilingual, outgoing and always ready to help. She is a bright ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! 

  • Amanda Richard

    Amanda started with us full time in 2012 upon completion of the Administration course at Eastern College. She excels in client service and is fluently bilingual. Amanda will talk you through your financial situation and help determine your options. She is easy going and is cheerful.

  • Barb March

    Our office relies on Barb to be the friendly and inviting voice that greets people as they call in. Barb is a friendly and inviting person that greets people on the telephone or in person. She is happy to help you in making sure that your calls get to the right person.

    Before joining us, Barb provided administrative support at a local major law firm and also worked with the Saint John office of Grant Thornton.

     

     

  • Leah Vallis

    Leah graduated from St. Thomas University in 2010, with a major in Economics and a double minor in Business and Sociology. She came to us with several years of experience with Financial Institutions and in Customer Service.

    Leah assists with much of the legal documentation for the office and is also happy to speak with anyone that calls us about their options.
     
    Leah is fluently bilingual.

     

     

  • Todd Cunningham

    Todd came to Grant Thornton Poirier Limited with over fifteen years of administrative experience, as well as more than a decade of experience in customer service. Todd possesses university-level certifications in Public Administration and Human Resources Management.

    Since joining our office, Todd has enjoyed learning various aspects of our operation. Todd  is now part of the team in our bankruptcy file administration department. His thorough attention to detail, empathetic and helpful attitude, and strong desire to continue learning have made him a definite asset to our organization.

    Todd’s reserved nature and diplomatic demeanor belie his dry, quirky sense of humour, and he loves to keep us entertained with his encyclopedic knowledge of rock music. In his spare time, he likes playing drums with his band, listening to music, writing, reading, indulging his youthful passion for science fiction, and spending time with his family.

     

  • Kristy Madsen

    Kristy joined us after completing the Office Administration Executive program at the New Brunswick Community College in Saint John.  She came to us with nine years customer service experience working within a medical office.

    Kristy is a Level 1 firefighter and volunteers at a local fire department in her spare time. She is responsible for all of their administrative needs and assists in fundraising efforts.  She is very outgoing, pleasant and takes pride in her work.

    Kristy is a pleasure to have in the office and is always willing to lend a hand.

  • Ed Carvell

    Edward started with Grant Thornton Poirier Ltd. in October 2013. He joins us with over 8 years of customer service experience. 

    Edward is bilingual in both official languages. He has recently graduated from the New Brunswick Community College in the Business Administration Accounting program. He is current enrolled at the University of New Brunswick to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Applied Management,  Accounting. He has hopes to pursue his CPA Accounting designation.

    In his free time Edward enjoys spending time with family and friends. He always has a smile on his face and is always willing to help in any way he can. 

  • Dale Deveau

    Dale has his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing from Saint Mary’s University. He has worked in the banking industry for over 20 years in lending and investments. While in banking he achieved his Certified Financial Planning designation. He has worked in insolvency for the past 4 years.


    He is a qualified Insolvency Administrator having completed the CAIRP certification program. He is also a qualified Insolvency Counsellor registered with Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.


    Dale is in Southwestern Nova Scotia in our Yarmouth office helping debtors in Digby, Barrington, Shelburne, and Yarmouth.
